Background
Bryan Like, BA, MPA, democratic candidate for State Representative, District 71, is a St. Louis native with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a minor in Political Science, and a master’s degree in Public Administration. He has a heart for serving and is dedicated to advocating for citizens of Missouri. Bryan describes himself as an advocate rather than a politician.
Bryan completed his undergraduate studies at Mizzou, where he met his beautiful wife, Alicia. Bryan achieved his master’s degree while employed by the Department of Social Services, working over 40 hours a week providing treatment and rehabilitation for children. He has seen children at some of their lowest points in life and stood by their side. Bryan went on to excel as a case manager for citizens with developmental disabilities through the State’s Department of Mental Health. Bryan is a former president of an NAACP chapter (unit 4731), current president of his national fraternity and founder of a mentor group for male youth. He has years of experience in the financial industry, and in non-profit organizations, holding multiple offices and effectively leading his community. Bryan Like is a determined leader who advocates for the people and is willing to fight for our rights, standards and needs. |
